Photography at Redwood is a four year sequential program, student enter through art explorations and can grow through Artist Voice, Honors and finally the AP 2D Studio Portfolio. The Photo program at Redwood encourages students to find their personal artist's voice by offering an individualized creative standards-based curriculum to all students. Focus is on providing meaningful and significant experiences that will foster critical thinking, inspire self expression through independent and team projects developing lifelong appreciation of photography, cinematography and the arts. Guest Artists and field trips provide a broader view of the world of Photography & Filmmaking. Through both analog and digital experiments, student work to create, understand and appreciate art. Students will use 35mm digital, film and video cameras, editing in the darkroom and with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, LightRoom & Premiere) to develop final portfolio projects.
