A one year course intended for highly motivated students who are interested in the study of art and show promise in the first three years of a studio art class such as drawing and painting. Students will follow the national Advanced Placement course of study for either the AP Drawing or 2-D exam culminating in the submission of a portfolio to the College Board. Student Portfolios are scored on a 1-5 scale by the College Board, and may receive college credit for scores above a 2. Examples of student portfolios and rubrics provided by the College Board can be seen here. Interested in applying to take our AP Art class next year?
